Bottle Opener
This is a project that propose a bottle opener for champagne that is not only a product but also an object that is symmetrical, balanced, and a pleasure to hold in hands. The question we asked ourselves is why should all bottle openers look the same, feel the same and work the same, that was a great a motivation to be different and unique.
So we studied what is considered to be a classic bottle opener and how it has evolved in time. We liked the idea of an bottle opener especially for champagne bottles, an object is both artistic and elegant just like the champagne bottle itself. We rendered the device using leather, brushed aluminium, brass, and sold wood.
It has a grip on the round lips to remove the cork by turning, because of the pressure inside the bottle it will push the cork inside the device safely. The cork can be ejected using the button on top of the opener.
