Lumity

Lumity is a project of urban lights that allow individuals to explore and guide themselves in a city using a set of interactive objects and an interface that are integrated into the city infrastructure, the objects are both city night lights and city benches. The user can interact with the objects to discover and explore new and exciting locations in a city, it is made of durable and transparent material that integrates very well with city ambiance.

Once a path has been selected automatically by the app or manually by the user, they will be directed around the city using the chair as a point to point navigation system without having to use the smart phone. So the idea is to relax, put the smart phone away and enjoy the landmarks, landscape, and monuments.

The application uses the the user preferences and locations to propose different paths to new comers and tourists, but it also allow the locals to choose the favorite paths and customize it to their liking.
